A Close Call: I Amost Choked on a Plum

When I was about 16 years old I went to Pusan with my family to enjoy the summer vacation. At night our family watched TV in the living room and we were eating some plums. There was an interesting movie on TV and we were enjoying watching the movie and eating the tasty plums.
Generally, If someone eats a plum he spits out the plum seed. But I swallowed it and it got stuck in my throat. It was too big so I couldn't breathe, and I couldn't say anything.
But my family was so involved in the movie that they didn't notice anything. Everything went black and I thought that I was going to die. Fortunately, my father finally noticed what was happening. They thought that I was having a problem but they didn't know why I couldn't speak and had a red face. I felt hopeless. It was a very serious situation. Then my younger brother saw the remains of the plum and realized why .
I couldn't say anything. My brother pounded my back many times. At first my parents were surprised but then they began to hit me on the back too.
Finally I was able to rise from the dead. But for some time I couldn't fall asleep easily because my back hurt so much. So, if you eat a plum, be sure not to swallow the seed.
