Hi Rod.

You asked me to tell you about what happened to me on the train the other day.
I was coming home from visiting a friend. We played soccer together and after the game my foot was so sore.

Anyway I had my foot on the seat opposite me.
I didn't know it was illegal. The reason was I sprained my ankle and it was sore. I see people with one foot or two on the seat all the time! However one of the ticket inspectors saw me with my foot on the seat.

So as a result of such a small thing, I was fined $150. But that's not the end of the story.
At that time I didn't have my student card. I usually do but I left it at home.
So because of that I got another fine. In the end, my visit to my friend cost me around $300 dollars. This means that I can't afford to go out partying for many weeks! That's why I can't see you this weekend. Remember not to put your foot on the seat. The consequence could be a $150 dollar fine.
